Dr. Inge RussellEditor-in-Chief Journal of the Institute of Brewing
Dr. Inge Russell is the former editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Institute of Brewing (a position she held for 15 years), a visiting professor at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and a former adjunct professor in the Department of Biochemical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. She has over 40 years of experience in the brewing and distilling industry. Russell has served as president of both the American Society of Brewing Chemists and the Master Brewers Association of the Americas. She holds a Ph.D. and a Doctor of Science from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. In 2015, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science from Heriot-Watt University “in recognition of her exceptional contributions to science, technology and business, and preeminence in the field of brewing, fermentation and distilling.” Russell is the author of over 150 publications and is a co-founder and co-editor of the journal Critical Reviews in Biotechnology.
