Dr. Betsy Beymer-Farris

Director of the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program, University of Kentucky

Betsy Beymer-Farris is the director of the environmental and sustainability studies program at the University of Kentucky. She received a doctoral degree in geography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has more than 20 years of experience working in Tanzania, where she conducts research on gender, climate change, marine and coastal resource conservation, aquaculture and human rights.
