Dr. Martin Llewellyn

Dr. Martin Llewellyn is a research scientist at the University of Glasgow in the U.K. Llewellyn has expertise in salmonid parasitology and nutrition. He is author of over 50 peer-reviewed research articles and has a wide array of research interests. Current collaboration with Alltech involves the development of an artificial salmon gut, SalmoSim, alongside Ph.D. candidate Raminta Kazlauskaite. SalmoSim is designed as a tool to understand the interaction of feed components with salmon gut microbiota. Llewellyn received his bachelor's degrees from Oxford University, his Ph.D. from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and held several postdoctoral positions all over the world until he settled in Scotland in 2015.
