CEO, AGR Partners
Ejnar Knudsen is the co-founder and CEO of AGR Partners, and his responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s investment strategy. Since 2012, AGR Partners has invested and manages more than $500 million of equity and subordinated debt in leading food and agribusiness companies.
From 2009 to 2012, Knudsen was the portfolio manager of Passport Capital’s Agriculture Fund. Prior to his time at Passport Capital, Knudsen served as the EVP of Western Milling, a grain- and feed-milling company that began as a small California startup and has grown to more than $1 billion in sales. Knudsen also spent 10 years at the New York office of Rabobank, where he managed a loan portfolio and venture capital investments and provided corporate advisory services.
Knudsen is also a director of Ridley (RIC.ASX), Green Plains (GPRE), Gowan Company, Materra Farming and Green Plains Cattle Company. He received a bachelor's degree in science from Cornell University and is a CFA charter-holder.
