Laura Sands is a partner at K·Coe Isom, where she leads the firm’s work with production agriculture and with food and agricultural supply chains. She spearheads many of K·Coe Isom’s sustainability initiatives and builds broad alliances to enact policies that address global concerns and emerging public policy challenges. She also develops strategic messaging strategies and creates valuable connections among people with varied interests. Sands leads a team of diverse experts who work to develop, measure and assure key supply-chain sustainability initiatives at the nexus of environmental, social and business improvement needs.
Sands has led various national initiatives, including the development of a sustainability framework for the Innovation Center for the U.S. Dairy and National Milk Producers Federation. She has also been an adviser for such organizations as Agree, the Environmental Defense Fund, The Nature Conservancy and the Bipartisan Policy Center, as well as numerous global agricultural businesses and cooperatives.
Laura grew up on a farm in northwestern Minnesota. A mother of two, she is passionate about solving food insecurity and is a founder of The Food Group, which currently serves 600 school-age children in several communities in Wyoming.
