Raminta Kazlauskaite
Ph.D. Researcher, University of Glasgow

Raminta Kazlauskaite is a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Glasgow in the U.K. Kazlauskaite is interested in bioengineering and molecular biology. Currently, her Ph.D. focuses on creating an in vitro system replicating the Atlantic salmon gut, called SalmoSim, made from three linked bioreactors simulating three distinct compartments of the salmon gut. The system will allow her to study microbial population dynamics, evaluate the performance of different feed formulations and additives, and evaluate the effects of antibiotic/disinfectant/anti-parasitic treatments on microbial gut population composition. Kazlauskaite received her bachelor's degree from the University of Edinburgh.
