Meet Jenny Pfanenstiel, Master Milliner, Author and Educator
Jenny Pfanenstiel is a world-renowned milliner celebrated for her artistry in handcrafting and sculpting hats, using rare, luxurious materials sourced from around the globe. Steeped in the centuriesold tradition of millinery, Jenny uses time-honored techniques as she molds straw and felt over wooden hat forms to bring each bespoke piece to life. She is a six-time featured milliner of the Kentucky Derby® and the official milliner of the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Her craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit have earned her national recognition, including being named a Tory Burch Fellow in 2019 and receiving a Louisville Business First Enterprising Women Award in 2024 for her outstanding leadership and dedication to her craft and community. From her hat shop in Louisville to stages around the world, Jenny shares her passion through immersive hat experiences and hands-on workshops, keeping the art of millinery not only alive but thriving.
